Step by Step: How to Purchase DocuBuilder

Do you have questions about Meter Values? Meter values range from $5-$30 per document.

  1. Go to www.consensusdocs.org
  2. Click on the Purchase button
  3. Log-in to the site, by clicking on "Login Here" at the top left of the page
    • If you do not already have an account you can create one at this time
  4. Click on DocuBuilder Subscriptions - Software Download
  5. From here you will be able to choose which document package you want to purchase
    • You can purchase either the complete package which will allow you to access all documents during your year long subscription. Or you can purchase individual series, such as the General Contracting series, Design-Build series or Meter Mode.
  6. Choose the package(s) you want by clicking on the cart icon to the left of the title
  7. When the next page opens, you want scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "Add To Shopping Cart"
  8. This will bring you to a page which will allow you to enter your Partner and Promo codes, if you do not have these, you can "Proceed Without Code"
  9. Review the information in the shopping cart to make sure it is correct
  10. If correct, click on "Proceed to payment" (do not click on anything else on this page)
  11. Read the license agreement, and click on "I have read, and agree to the above" and click "Submit"
  12. Enter in your payment information and then click "Submit Payment"
  13. You will then receive your Purchase detailse
  14. Next, you will want to check you email. You should receive two emails regarding your purchase
  15. The first email will be a purchase receipt. The second email should be titled "Your DocuBuilder Purchase Information"
  16. Open this second email and in it you will find several items that you will need to set up your DocuBuilder Program
  17. There will be a red link that says "DocuBuilder Download Center" click on that link and it will bring up a webpage.
  18. Halfway down the page you will see "Click here to download"
  19. A box will pop up and ask you if you wish to Run or Save, click save
  20. Save the file to your desktop
  21. Once the download is finished go to the "Start" button and select "All Programs," "ConsensusDocs Software," and "Docubuilder."
  22. Once you open the software a box will pop up and click OK
  23. The next box that will pop up is the Registration and Settings Dialog box. Here you will click on "Register Product Online" (Should this menu not come up, you can access it by going to "File" and selecting "Registration and Settings" from the resulting menu)
  24. In the next dialog box you will need to enter your Electronic Invoice ID (EID) number which can be found in the email that was send to you, it is a 6 digit number
  25. After filling in your EID and clicking OK, you should receive a message that your product was successfully registered.
