Project Description: Project owner is Ultium Cells LLC, a joint venture between General Motors and LG Chem of South Korea. It involves the design and construction of a nearly 3 million-square-foot plant that will mass-produce battery cells for electric vehicles.  The total investment is approximately $2.3 billion. Construction is underway and is scheduled to be completed in 2021.
