This prequalification statement is issued by the Owner of a construction project to request qualifications from potential Constructors (aka builder, general contractor, design-builder, construction manager) for engineered construction projects. This prequalification statement contract document allows Owners of a construction project to obtain the qualifications of potential Constructors for construction projects for which the engineer is the lead Design Professional, such as a process treatment plant. Qualifications include information that pertains to a Constructor’s past projects, experience, current projects, business structure, bonding capacity, safety program, and personnel. This contract document gives potential Constructors an opportunity to establish positive communication and trust with the Owner.
