This prequalification statement helps Owners of a construction project assess the qualifications of a Design Professional (architect or engineer) as their lead Design Professional on a project. The contract document includes information about the prospective Design Professional on past projects, work experience, organizational structure, financial information, insurance carrier, professional affiliations, references, judgements or criminal indictments, disbarment, consent orders, and a statement of conflicts of interest. This contract document gives the potential Design Professional an opportunity to establish positive communication and trust with the Owner.
