This construction contract document formalizes changes in the subcontracted work and makes adjustments to subcontract time and subcontract price. Common causes for use of a change order are incorrect estimates of a project’s work, environmental factors such as extreme weather, and additions to the scope of a project’s work. The Subcontractor and Constructor (aka builder, general contractor, design-builder, construction manager) both sign this mutually acceptable adjustment and this document also keeps track of previous change orders.
