How can I learn more about the contracts offered by ConsensusDocs?
How can I obtain sample documents? Can I obtain more than 3 sample documents?
To view samples of a ConsensusDocs contract please complete our Request a Sample form.
To ensure fair usage of all ConsensusDocs contracts, nonsubscribers are limited to three (3) sample downloads. Subscribers who have a subscription other than the Full Package (Unlimited) subscription may download up to three (3) contracts NOT INCLUDED within their subscription package. There is no limit on the number of sample downloads for subscribers who have either purchased the Full Package (Unlimited) subscription or for contracts included within a user’s active subscription package.
Please note that ConsensusDocs are copyrighted documents. Any use of the contracts, other than for your internal review purposes, must come from a valid subscription purchase on our Pricing page.
How can I purchase a subscription?
The easiest and quickest way to purchase a ConsensusDocs subscription is online at ConsensusDocs.org.
For new subscriptions, please visit our Pricing Page, which will provide you with details on all of our different subscription packages. Renewal purchases can be made from the “My Subscriptions” tab of your dashboard.
Please make sure you have chosen the correct number of licenses and added any applicable promo/coupon codes to your checkout cart before finalizing your purchase.
ConsensusDocs will also accept subscription purchases via check payment.
How do ConsensusDocs compare to AIA and other standard contracts?
ConsensusDocs offers a similar contract solution to that of AIA Contracts and others. The primary difference between ConsensusDocs’ contracts and the others is that ConsensusDocs’ agreements were developed to address the needs of the A/E/C industry by building a better way for developing contracts that protect the best interests of the project.

How do I become a member of the ConsensusDocs Coalition?
Only design and construction-related non-profit organizations are eligible to become members of the ConsensusDocs Coalition. A full listing of organizations within the coalition can be found here.
To join one of the 40+ organizations that make up the ConsensusDocs coalition, please contact that organization directly. Members of these organizations are eligible for a 20% discount on all ConsensusDocs subscription and webinar purchases.
How do I finalize my document and remove the draft watermark from the background of each document? Can I remove the draft watermark without using the ConsensusDocs platform?
All contracts must be finalized using the document finalization function on our platform. This includes the removal of the “draft” watermark on all draft copies of ConsensusDocs contracts.
To finalize your ConsensusDocs contract:
- Select the orange arrow pointing downward on the left side of your contract that you wish to finalize; a menu bar will pop up.
- Select the blue “Upload Document” button on the left side, you will see a pop-up box where you can drop the document from your desktop. Select your document then hit “Upload.”
- Next to the uploaded document on the right side select the wheel, you will see a pop-up box with a “Finalize Document” option. Select it.
- You can now download a finalized pdf document. You will have a pdf document available without the draft watermark.
How do I know if I received a valid ConsensusDocs contract?
A unique Content Secure ID is placed in the footer of all finalized ConsensusDocs contract documents. This unique ID lets you know that the contract was finalized via the ConsensusDocs platform and that a redlined comparison to the standard template was also generated. If you believe you received a fraudulent ConsensusDocs contract, please contact our Customer Support team at support@consensusdocs.org.

How do I start using my ConsensusDocs Contracts?
To start using ConsensusDocs documents go to “My Projects” then select the “Create New Project” button. Now, add the desired contract(s) from the drop-down menus. To edit your documents, you must download ConsensusDocs documents onto your desktop and make changes offline in MS Word®.
How do I update my profile info?
- Log into your account.
- Navigate to “My Dashboard” then to “My Account”
- Under profile select “Update Profile Information.”
How to attach supporting documents?
To attach a supporting document please use the Manage Supporting Document option before finalizing. Click on the “Choose File” field to add an exhibit or supporting document then select the green “Upload” document. When finalizing, click on the finalized document instead of the PDF option. If you click on the PDF button your contract will download without the supporting documents attached.
How to renew my subscription?
The easiest thing to do is to add a new subscription to your purchase cart and renew your subscription that way. To do this please navigate to the “Pricing” section at the top of the page, select your package, and proceed to the payment section.
